Dysmorphia cosplay update <333

The head is ALMOST DONE I just need to color the stretched face skin and make the wooden circle and im all set (and maybe connect the flesh strechies with project clay to make it look more fleshy)

I have no idea what to do with the rest of the body tho blehhh ((ALSO THIS IS MY FIRST COSPLAY EVERRR AAAA!!!))

After three days he’s done!!!

This came out way better than I expected for my semi-first time doing something like this.

There are some nitpicks though. The paint seems a bit too yellow, at least for me. It don’t show up as yellow on camera though. His little beak thing is also crooked a bit, but it’ll be fine.

I’d love to make a full-body cosplay of Gabriel but I do not have the time nor the funds to do so sadly. If I did extend on it, I’d probably just make his props (Swords and his spear). As of right now, if I were going out in cosplay, I’d just put on a dress and the helmet and call it a day lol.

I’m thinking of making a V1 or a V2 helmet next. Maybe I’ll work on it during the summer but idk yet.

Majora’s Mask / BOTW/ TOTK Cosplay.

Mask is made by “DysaniaProps” on Etsy! Me and my dad had a wonderful experience purchasing from them. Their work is incredible.

Sadly I’m not sure where my dad got the leatherwork done because that was something he was more interested in than I was;; From my eyes it is also great quality though!

Sorry it’s been 3 months since the last helmet update. School has lowkey been kicking my ass lately-

I actually had it done a couple days before Halloween so I could wear it out. I sadly don’t have any photos with the dress I wore it with that night :( I’ll probably take a photo with the dress if I have time (no promises though)

Next on the list is making the clothing. I’ve decided to not go with a stylized version of Gabriel’s armor but instead a crusader knife type of armor for it. Mainly because I think it would be easier work with fabric then making an entire suit out of EVA foam.

As a beginner cosplayer, I have a question... how many do you guys wear wigs 😭 I feel kind of invalid because due to autism wigs make me super overstimulated, and I have meltdowns easily while trying to style them (and rip the wig and break stuff)

Is it ok not to wear a wig ?? I was thinking I might just get many different colored hair extensions and kind of use those to signify what my hair color SHOULD be but I feel like it's hard to call it cosplaying without a wig because even though closet cosplay is a thing I never see wigless cosplays...

Now that Halloween is done, I have a moment to share the things I worked on for it! This is a bit late but whatevs! Custom NITW cosplay ears! Rahhh!

I worked these all of October for my best friend and me. He was going as Mae, and I was going as Gregg!

The ears where the one aspect of the outfits neither of us knew how to get, so I worked my ass off to get these made, and to make them look great, and it turned out amazing! I made them from complete scratch using foam, and a month of designing, building, refining, and painting. Some of the progress of which I posted during the time.

I have a lot of pictures of the process of making these, so I intend to make a follow up post where I share them and talk about anything worth talking about. I’ll link it here if that’s a thing you can do on tumblr (I have no idea how to use this website properly yet lul)
